STRAY

When a strange wolf arrives injured at a struggling veterinarian’s practice and transforms into a young girl, he and his friends are drawn into the frightening world that follows behind her. Ancient blood feuds, Viking werewolves and hillbilly horrors emerge from the ridges and hollers of Appalachia, bringing with them a chance for redemption.

On a snowy January night during the Super Blood Wolf Moon, the holler’s police chief and the town drunk Buzz collide with the wolf on a rural mountain road. But this is not any ordinary wolf, and Buzz convinces Chief to bring it to town, to Dr. Neil, to see if anything can be done for it. Neil has returned to his hometown begrudgingly after a series of tragic events have derailed his life. He has lost hope, his faith in love and most of all faith in himself. Though a brilliant veterinarian, each day Neil merely goes through the motions of his work, never allowing himself to care too much. The only comforts in his life are a pack of misfit rescue dogs, led by Donut, a wise and loyal, though traumatized, retired K9, and his guitar. But that is all about to change. Faced with the injured wolf Neil can see that she is possibly beyond saving but begins to prepare for surgery. As he gowns up the wolf undergoes a brutal metamorphosis revealing that beneath the skin of the wolf exists an exceptional girl. For the first time in a long time Neil will feel the pull of his true nature as a healer and protector.
